Sergio Battaglia è un sassofonista Jazz che ama le sperimentazioni tra svariati stili e le collaborazioni con altri musicisti. Vive a Modica, dove collabora con diverse orchestre e band, una su tutte quella degli Ostinati. Nel 2010 ha ultimato gli studi sulla musica Afro-Amercana, Jazz, imporvvisazione e arrangiamento. Ha seguito numerose master class di Jazz con Gianpiero Fronte, Carlo Cattano, Jimmy Weinstein, Joris Teepe, Steve Altemberg, Paolino Porte, Max Ionata etc. Nel 2017 si è laureato al conservatorio di Trapani.

Ha collaborato con tantissimi artisti e band: Adam Gez Quintet con i quali si è esibito al jazz festival di Parigi nel 2001; con la band Skaramanzia, esibendosi a Cracovia in occasione della giornata della memoria nel 2009; Con la South East big band diretta dal maestro Rino Cirinnà etc.
